Obstacles
I have not posted anything for a long time. I have finished my freshman year of college. Boy o Boy was it the the toughest year for me. I learned a lot of lessons for example, living with a roommate and handling all my finances. I have never mentioned that I went through foster care at age sixteen until I emancipated. Recently I gave a speech for the Faith in Motion event in my community. It is explained further on page 3 of the link. I received a lot of compliments after I gave the speech. I am so happy that others understood how much I meant each word about the importance of social services. Right now I am going through a big obstacle to pass my current classes. I am glad that I was able to use what I learned in my speech class because the experience boosted my energy to keep going since I never gave up on myself before (pre- and during foster care). It is important to be patient with yourself and also of others. We must understand each other's differences if we are to have peace. My experience in foster care is a long one. I like short and to the point posts so I am going to take time to write a long essay form of my experience in foster care then I will post it to scribd (hopefully it will still be free service) so that my followers could read it (I hope I have a following ). I will post it as soon as it is done. In the mean time I will post more experiences of growth, hardship and of course.... learning.
